2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT

Perhaps a little different from the usual fare of this blog, but here is the 2011 Ford Mustang GT complete with new multi valve 5.0 V8 to compete with the Chevrolet Camaro.

It won't surprise many that the Mustang was a fairly common site on my recent trip to America and certainly the dominant muscle car on the roads (although with a four year head start in sales on the rival Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger this is not entirely surprising).

I like the updated styling that was debuted last year, but still feel that the Challenger is the looker of the three. Can't say which is the best driver, but I suspect the engineers at Porsche are not loosing any sleep over these cars dynamic abilities.

The possibility of moving to the States has been considered following my recent trip, and like many Englishmen the thought of living in America with a big American muscle car does have some appeal. I can't help feeling that if I actually do make the move, I would still end up buying something European, or even that other bargain sports coupe the Nissan 370Z instead.
