From Goodwood italian breakfast |
I'm going to try and post some regular updates this year on life with the Daytona. Trouble is at the moment there is not to much to report.
As mentioned in my Chirstmas post the car received a service and oil change. The oil leak was also cured. One item still outstanding is to tune the Six Weber DCN 21 Carbs. This really needs some warmer weather than the UK is currently experiencing.
Hopefully both the weather and the carbs will be sorted by the first weekend of March as I'm hoping to give the car it's first run down to Goodwood for the 1st of the Breakfast clubs.
A quick word on Dad's cars. The red 365GTC4 has had some additional Dynamat sound proofing added. The search for a cure to the whining fifth gear that both the red and Blue (pictured above with the Daytona) C4's goes on. Anyone with good suggestions on this please feel free to post them on either the blog or Grand Touring's facebook page.
Meanwhile the 330GTS is enjoying a quiet winter having had extensive restoration and overhaul completed last winter. It has been joined by a brand new California which I will post some pictures and a blog on at a future date.
I'll finish with a repost of the short video I made (mainly for my own amusement) of the Daytona, red GTC4 and the 330GTS out on the road. Makes me long for the summer and get all of these cars out of hibernation.
