After a short delay to resolve a few issues, the deal on the Iso Grifo has finally been done and Dad will shortly take delivery.
As you can see from the pictures posted the car is a Series 1 GL 300 with the small block 327 Chevy V8 under the bonnet. Very unusually for a Grifo the transmission is a GM Powerglide two speed automatic, I'm not sure if this was originally fitted to the car when new, but don't be surprised if a different transmission is in place (possibly a more modern Tremec 5 speed manual unit which several Grifos already have fitted) at the end of the restoration.
The car is complete but many years off the road in storage has left the car in a generally poor state, It should be an interesting project over the next year or two.
wow the Grifo looks really good, good luck with the resto, that is going to soak up some serious investment, will it change colour?
ReplyDeleteAlmost certainly the colour will change, it was originally Old English White, but I doubt it will be either of those at the end.
