Ferrari Daytona (Very) Long Term Test report Update 7 Preparing for the Le Mans Classic

Today was spent preparing the Daytona for the trip to the Le Mans Classic Thursday. Since the last report a few small adjustments have been made. The timing has been lowered as the car was ticking over at some 1100 rpm. More importantly the Spark plugs have been swapped for some iridium tipped items.  A short (40 mile) test drive showed a marked improvement in throttle response especially in the mid range.

Taking a classic Ferrari abroad requires a little more planning as if anything goes wrong you can't rely on the local garage to have the parts in stock. The boot is chocked full of potential consumables such as fan belts that hopefully won't fail. As its a trip with the boys I'm sure sartorial elegance with not be required but in this case the luggage will have to live on the rear parcel shelf.

Depending on the availability of Wi-fi at the hotels we will be stopping at I'll post some pics and reports from the event.  We leave on Thursday
