Day to Day driving



A different tack for the blog today.

If you have read any of this blog you will know I like cars, I really like cars. Trouble is I'm wondering if for the most part I'm actually enjoying driving. Sure when I take the Daytona out I have a great time and it makes me feel exhilarated and great. Trouble is that is a couple of times a month at best and in the depths of winter not at all, so what about the rest of the time?

Like just about every other car enthusiast, no matter how many different models the manufacturers make there is always other models of versions I would like them to make. Here I present the cars I would like some of my favourite manufacturers to be producing.

The Speed Merchants by Michael Keyser - Review



This is a short excert of the opening credits from the Documentary Movie The Speed Merchants. Directed by Michael Keyser it tells the story of the 1972 World Championship of Makes. Narrated by Mario Andretti and Vic Elford, it is packed with behind the scenes footage and in car video.

The Ferrari California and the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider

The two very similar promotional films shown below of the Ferrari California and the Alfa 8C Spider reminded me that they are quite similar cars. Both cars are similarly priced (ignoring that the Alfa is a limited edition and all are probably sold), have V8 engines that produce around 450bhp and have open tops.
