Porsche 356 on the road

This is a rather nice driving video found on You Tube, showing a rally prepared? Porsche 356 on some country roads in Austia.

As the template for Porsche sports cars the 356's place in motoring history is assured. For me it is one of my favourite cars and would certainly have a place in my top ten dream garage (in actual fact I probably would not be able to limit myself to ten cars). I love the 356's clean and simple lines and the idea of a small engined car using good aero and lightweight to achieve performance far greater than it's small engine size.

I like the idea of one of the so called modified outlaw 356's with a tweaked motor and some racy styling. Despite the desirability (and resulting high prices) of the Speedster versions I actually prefer the lines of the coupe.

Hmm could be talking myself into something here, although I think maybe a 911 first.
