Iso Grifo's at Coys Techno Classica Auction

Idle surfing of the auction compay websites today had revealed that Coys will be auctioning two Iso Grifo's at next weekend's auction at the Techno Classica event in Germany.

The first is (too my eyes) a more attractive Series 1 car with the open headlights, and a Chevy 350 small block engine. The web catalogue does not provide that many details (slightly worrying) but estimates that the car will sell for between €115 and €130,000.

The second car is a series 2 and features a Ford Cleveland small block with ZF five speed transmission and air conditioning makinf it a much rarer beast. The use of the Ford engine, means that the car has the power buldge normally associated with the big block Grifo's. The catalogue provides more details on the history car but curiously provides a wider range of estimated value at between €110 and €140,000.

Slightly difficult to choose between the  two cars, the Series 1 is the prettier car (and I prefer the colour) but the Series 2 has a more unusual and to me desirable specification. Hmm as mechanicals can be upgraded, I'll go for looks and plump for the series 1
