Ferrari Daytona (Very) Long Term Test report Update 4

After a longish gap in reports on the Daytona here's the second one in two weeks (you can tell the UK "summer" is upon us).

This morning the Daytona was pressed into service for a rather nice country drive to go and view a potential second Ferrari to fill up the garage. I'm not going to say too much about that car other than it was a 308GTB Carburettor and that I have put an offer in on it. I'll blog about it separately when I know the outcome of the offer.

Back to the Daytona, and following the winter service, is continuing to run rather well. As always it's the ideal companion for a Sunday morning drive, and weirdly I don't begrudge paying 126p per litre for Shell V-power unleaded to feed the large appetite for fuel. A couple of issues have cropped up though. The car is ticking over rather fast at present idling at some 1200 rpm when warm. With six carbs to fiddle with to it's an adjustment nest left to my mechanic. Also the clutch is picking up rather late in the travel, hopefully it is just an adjustment required as the clutch itself doesn't seem to be slipping.
